FULL-TIME POSITIONS: GENERAL

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (June 15, 2009)

This position is responsible for planning, developing and administering occupational therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses with the goal of facilitating the resumption of the patient’s prior life roles through remediation or adaptations to achieve their maximum level of functioning.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an occupational therapy field required.  Current, valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State Occupational Therapy License required.  Valid Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation certification required.  Current, valid Pennsylvania drivers’ license required.  One or two years related experience and/or training preferred

HOUSEKEEPER (June 4, 2009) This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Windber Research Institute by cleaning, gathering municipal waste, maintaining offices, restrooms and supplies. Security experience preferred. Job is for 2nd shift.. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT- CERTIFIED - ALUM BANK (May 21, 2009)

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive health care to patients in collaboration with the physician including medical evaluation, treatment, counseling & referrals & Plan of Care in Family Practice/Urgent Care at Alum Bank Community Health Center.  Certificate of completion from an accredited program for PAs & be certified by NCCPA.  Responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification to include CPR, ACLS & PALS.    3 yrs exp in Private Practice, Urgent Care or combination required.

UR COORDINATOR/RN (May 7, 2009)

This position is responsible for reviewing and monitoring patient care and use of hospital resources to ensure the patient receives high quality, cost effective care.  This position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with various insurance agencies and reporting to them pertinent patient information to obtain certification for services. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a nursing related field. Valid Registered Nurse license. Six months to one year related experience and/or training required.


CASUAL POSITIONS: NURSING

LPN - ALUM BANK - TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT (May 18, 2009)

This position is responsible for meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients, providing patient care through life stages of all ages in areas of nursing and providing clinical oversight to other staff members regarding patient care at Alum Bank Community Health Center.  One year certification from a college or technical school in a nursing field.  Valid Pennsylvania Practical Nurse license.  CPR certification required.  Three to six months related experience and/or training.

RN – CCU (April 21, 2009)

This position is responsible for providing intensive up-to-date treatment modalities for the critically ill or critically injured patient in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).  This position is also responsible to administer life saving measures within moments notice under direct medical supervision.  Minimum Diploma of Nursing required.  Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required.  Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications and Dysrhythmia and CCU Class preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in the next available course.  Six months to one year related experience and/or training required.

RN - WING III (March 16, 2009)

This position must assume responsibility of meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients.  Care must be provided through all life stages of ages in medical, surgical, and telemetry areas of nursing.  This position also provides direction and oversight to other staff members regarding patient care.  Valid PA RN license required.  CPR / BLS required.  ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.  One year related experience is preferred.
